More than 150,000 children live in temporary accommodation, according to official data.

In November, the House of Commons Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee launched an inquiry into the conditions of children placed in temporary accommodation.

Polly Neath, chief executive of homelessness and housing charity Shelter, said earlier this year: “Those who cannot afford private rents are thrown into homelessness and then left for months and even years in a debilitating temporary housing because there is nowhere else.’

Are you a parent who has lived with children in temporary accommodation?

We want to hear from you. How long was it and what was the impact on your family? Has there been any impact on your child’s schooling or well-being and development?
