The crash happened on the D’Aguilar Highway near Nanango, northwest of Brisbane, just before 6am.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
The truck driver, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The highway is closed in both directions south of Nanango.
