Gregor Haas was arrested in Cebu City on Wednesday and may now be extradited to Indonesia, where he is accused of dealing enough drugs to face the death penalty.

Indonesian police say Haas has been wanted since last December after finding five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine at an undisclosed location.
He is believed to have used the false name Fernando Tremendo Chimenea.
The 46-year-old is being held in the city of Manila, from where authorities will try to extradite him to Indonesia.
“We suspect there are networks all over Asia and we also suspect there are networks in Australia,” said Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) spokesman Sulistyo Pujo Hartono.
“We have good cooperation with the Australian police, so we will work with them as well.”
Philippine police assisted in the arrest.
It’s been nine years since convicted Australian drug lords Andrew Chan and Miuran Sukumaran were executed in Indonesia for their co-leading roles in an operation to smuggle heroin from Indonesia to Australia in 2015. They are the latest Australians to receive the death penalty in Indonesia.
Payne Haas will still line up for the Brisbane Broncos against Manly on Friday, the opening night of the NRL’s Magic Round in Brisbane.
The club are reportedly aware of the situation and have offered their support to the star striker.
